There are a couple of great improvements, they are thicker and heavier, the dimple or "pop" feature, giving you the ease of knowing it has sealed and the new area to write the bottling date. The boxes have not yet changed but will be modified at a later date to include new instructions.

Best I've Found
I've used these lids in both water bath and pressure canning and never had a failure. Over the past three years I've pressure canned over 250 quarts and pints and more than doubled that amount when it comes to water baths. Hope I'm not jinxing myself. Peaches are almost ready and chicken stock is next.
